There are two kinds of people, those who do the work and those who take the credit. Try to be in the first group; there is less competition there. -Indira Gandhi
Considering becoming a Board Member? Yes, it’s a thankless job. Yes, it involves countless hours of board meetings and banquet meetings. Yes, it feels like a second job at times. However, none of these issues eclipse the feelings you will have when you are directly responsible for sending 4 students and 2 teachers to an outdoor school to learn about conservation and education or the feelings you will have when you sponsor a youth event that teaches our youth about firearms and our hunting heritage and then serving all of their smiling faces a hotdog and finally the feelings you will have when you see the fruits of your labor come together during the largest event of the year, the annual banquet, which helps to fund all of the events that make the board members keep coming back year after year.
We are always looking for new and exciting faces to join us on our board. More often than not, you will make lifelong friends as well as becoming a part of an organization that truly cares about the future of our hunting rights.
If you are still unsure about joining, please call a board member and ask them why you should join. Better yet, fill out the short questionnaire below and one of us will call you.
